If you wear glasses and own a PlayStation VR2, you’ve probably already stressed about scratching the lenses. The design, just like with the PSVR1, makes it super easy for your glasses to come into contact with the lenses. And sure, you can buy protective VR prescription lenses from brands like HonsVR, but those can get pricey.
Turns out, there’s an easy DIY fix that costs next to nothing. Remember the old PSVR1 styrofoam trick? Yeah, it works for PSVR2 too.
Here’s what you do:
- Grab a small piece of 1cm-thick styrofoam (you probably have some lying around).
- Cut it into shape using a simple template (see example below).
- Stick it between the lenses as a stopper.
And just like that—problem solved. Your glasses won’t touch the lenses anymore, and you’ve saved yourself from scratches and spending extra cash.
It’s a quick, no-frills solution that works like a charm. Give it a try before shelling out for accessories!
