Apple’s mixed-reality headset will have a battery pack that you can attach to your belt. The pack will give you two hours of juice, but you may need more packs if you want to go the extra mile.
Bloomberge’s Mark Gurman has given us a glimpse of Apple VR headset’s power struggle with its external battery pack: Apple wants to make the headset as light as a feather by moving the battery outside the headset. The headset will have two ports: one for data and one for power. The data port might let you connect to a MacBook and see its screen in VR or AR. The power port will use a magnetic cable that will snap to the headset, probably to avoid potential wire-related injuries.
The headset will offer many features and apps, from games and fitness to FaceTime and Maps.
